Spotlight on Services

March’s Spotlight on Services highlights the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp. The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative, Corp (WWBIC), a nonprofit, 501c3, is a leading innovative statewide economic development corporation that started in 1987 in the city of Milwaukee.  It’s known for opening doors of opportunity for small businesses and have been “putting dreams to work” for over 30 years.

WWBIC has offices located in Milwaukee, Appleton, Racine, Kenosha and most recently opened an office in LaCrosse.  Their  partnerships expand to all levels from local, regional, national and International.   WWBIC assists those with the interest of starting, strengthening or expanding their businesses.  They also provide access to capital, education and key resources.

While they focus on individuals who face barriers in accessing traditional financing or resources in pursuit of their dreams and economic well-being…in particular women, people of color, veterans and lower-wealth individuals, they do not exclude anyone who reaches out for assistance with their business.
