This Month’s Spotlight on Services is the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation.
In partnership with Vilas County, Nicolet College, area business leaders, the Lac du Flambeau Tribe, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, VCEDC Executive Director Kathy Schmitz and our volunteer board of directors are working diligently to build a stronger Northwoods economy and help improve our overall quality of life.
They accomplish this by fostering and supporting entrepreneurs, attracting and supporting remote workers, helping to sustain current business, and finding and supporting expanding businesses through programming and leading the County broadband initiative. They believe Vilas County has everything these audiences need to realize their vision to work and live successfully in a vibrant Northwoods economy.
