Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation

Grow North is a catalyst for economic prosperity in the Northwoods region.

About

As a regional economic development corporation, Grow North focuses on initiatives that will improve the overall business climate in the region. Grow North seeks solutions to issues that are common to the entire region, such as workforce development, technology infrastructure, transportation and healthcare to name a few examples. This is done through careful consideration of what local economic development organizations are doing, with the goal being to collaborate, and never duplicate, services. Through collaboration, regional economic development and local economic development can, and does, provide different dimensions to improving the overall economy. Current areas of focus for the Grow North region include:
  • Workforce Cultivation
  • Workforce Housing
  • Rural Prosperity
  • Broadband
Grow North serves 8 counties and 3 tribal nations in the furthest Northeast corner of Wisconsin. This includes Forest, Florence, Langlade, Lincoln, Oconto, Oneida, Marinette, and Vilas Counties. Tribal nations include the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Sokaogon Chippewa Community (Mole Lake), and the Forest County Potawatomi Community.
